A little corner to scream

Wellbp my want to blog with the other bloggy site didn't last long

Hello again little bear buddy, I've got a couple posts I'll need to crosspost from the F2C journal, b a c k to here, but not near as many

Very bluntly less is more and I underestimated how nice having the clean simpler format of this blog site would be something to help motivate me into sharing random thoughts more. A bit poetic I guess with the timing of a well meaning post I saw on another's website, complimenting their approach to indie webpage design focusing on content over style.

I've found myself overthinking a bit too much on it today, but I know it's not something to view in a bad light toward myself! I can really appreciate that approach too with getting the core content first and building out from that. This lil journal being a good example with despite the simpler appearance, it's just much nicer and quicker to dump thoughts out without the hoops of pages and prompts to go through.

But I think for my own website itself its a bit of an opposite story. Especially since I had no clue what I even wanted ON my site, and its not all necessarily text alone! Some pages are hidden little experiments, some are practicing with new layouts and formatting, some are collections of images, all of it is helping to inspire what kinds of content I'd like to fill them with. Quite a bit of it being content I already have written elsewhere ready to pop in! But for building my own site like this it's been such a rewarding challenge to see my own self chip away at it more and more, carving out new pages and breaking further and further away from the initial template I'd used to get started. So I think both approaches, ones like mine that explore how to craft new page layouts and filling in that blank canvas, as well as ones that focus on the content and then discover the framing around it afterward, are equally valid!

In other unrelated news I tried out some fun game demoes with my partner and a friend today, finished watching the first season of Dungeon Meshi, tendonitis has been coming for my ass, and I'm starting a new work season tomorrow with the company I was part of last year!

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!
